I love your site. I was driven here because I subscribe to your son Preston's business site. I am an author ,chef and motivational speaker. Just completed book and publishing currently. The book was written to honor my parents in particular my mom who worked tirelessly in the background while my dad was in the forefront. They were entreprenuers before it was popular. We are also creating a foundation in my parents name where we will donate part of the proceeds to help re-build our wonderful New Orleans and the Gulf Coast.It is a coffee table cookbook that not only share over 400 recipes many my mom's who was a great Creole/ Cajun cook, but also many of her health and beauty tips along with international recipes, a history of New Orleans and much more. I LOVE that idea! Did you come up with it yourself? My brother who is a jazz musician in New York City, used to have a hallway in his apartment that was covered with people’s signatures. What fun. I will “borrow” that idea if it’s okay with you and would love to hear any stories you have or interesting things that people have written. Let me know when your new blog is up and running.

Susan, saw your comment on Heather's FB page and as she would say, "Had to drive by and see your shared table!" Love your writing on hospitality and the new farm table – how awesome is that? Just an idea that I've used and would go right along with your blog. I purchased a plain off-white flat sheet and use it as a tablecloth and all the guests sign the sheet before leaving. It makes for wonderful conversations. And, yes, you can use the idea (if you don't already know) in your blog or wherever! My new blogsite is under total re-construction so "drive by" in about a month! Susan
